Museums & Heritage
I spent many years working in museums and heritage sites working with collections and creating immersive programmes, producing engaging exhibitions, and connecting communities with their stories.
ReCollect

artefact-inspired reminiscence

ReCollect uses older, everyday items to help put people in touch with their past and inspire conversation.

I can deliver reminiscence in care, community and heritage settings. If you are a heritage site, I can deliver sessions using your collection.

Looking for training? I can deliver that too.

Kind Words “... the residents absolutely LOVED your presentation and it’s sparked so many conversations since.” Read more feedback about my work here.

ReStore
for organisations outside the heritage sector

ReStore is for schools, charities and businesses looking to organise their archive and/or collection.

I can help you get to grips with what you have and how you can put it to work and help tell your story.

Education - schools and families

Whether you're looking for a facilitated workshop, self-led activities, trails or activity sheets, I have experience of them all.

Kind Words We loved it – our children loved it and so did the parent helpers. Read more feedback from teachers here.

Evaluation

From organisations reporting to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, to farms offering Open Farm Sunday events, I’ve enabled clients to measure their success, understand their impact, and demonstrate their value.

Training: Starting to Evaluate I can support clients starting to look at how to evaluate formal and informal experiences.

Kind Words: I've never had any training towards evaluation, so this was a fantastic first step into it as it was comprehensive, clear and engaging. Participant on training at God's House Tower, Southampton. Read more feedback here.

Interpretive Text & Exhibitions

Need a bit of support? Happy to be a critical friend, ideas-bouncer for interactives, or to roll up my sleeves and polish your text.

Kind WordsRuth was a trusted and qualified interpretation colleague to turn to when we felt our text panels needed a more expert eye. Kirsty Rodda, Exhibitions Manager, Hampshire Cultural Trust. Read the full testimonial here.

Training: Temporary Exhibitions on a Tiny Budget Helping small organisations learn how to create an engaging experience with little money, including the tricky bit: writing good text.
