Engagement and Interpretation, including Social Media
Ruth worked tirelessly for us for many years as a volunteer and social media manager and always delivers a first class service, liaising with other organisations and producing imaginative and excellent material in a most professional and knowledgeable manner. Her background as a Keeper’s daughter and in community engagement give her an insight and sensitivity which is invaluable to GWT.
Helen MJ Benson, Chief Executive Officer, The Gamekeepers' Welfare Trust.
Ruth is a creative, engaging and dedicated Heritage Manager with a specialism in delivering high quality events and driving up footfall. Her work on a major National Lottery Heritage Fund project at the Eling Tide Mill Experience is excellent, of a very high quality and delightful for many target audiences, and especially families and the local community. Here she led on the development and delivery of the programmes, interpretation and events. Whatever she turns her hand to is delivered professionally, efficiently and effectively. I would highly recommend her.
Sue Tapliss, Director, Whitchurch Silk Mill.
Ruth was a trusted and qualified interpretation colleague to turn to when we felt our text panels needed a more expert eye. Often when writing enthusiastically and historically about an object or story, the visitor gets forgotten, but Ruth was able to refine and reposition our content to bring it back into focus and in a way that suited our audience. Her clarity and (gentle) red pen made all the difference – accessible, considered text in readable lengths, minus the waffle.
Kirsty Rodda, Exhibitions Manager, Hampshire Cultural Trust.

I attended a very inspiring object reminiscence course run by Ruth. Her knowledge of the subject and recall of personal experiences made this a very valuable and enjoyable session.

Learning, including Projects and Museum Sessions for Schools
Ruth was contracted to lead the interpretation element of an NLHF Young Roots funded project. Ruth is an outstanding interpretation and museum specialist with the skills needed to engage and enthuse young people with heritage. Ruth brought energy, vision and commitment to the project and provided varied and exciting opportunities and activities for the young people involved. I would happily employ Ruth again and highly recommend her.
Laura Bullivant, Community Manager, Red House Museum & Gardens.
Ruth was great to work with and is conscientious in her approach, going the extra mile to produce an excellent session. I would be delighted to work with Ruth on future projects!
