Best way to sell something: don’t sell anything. Earn the awareness, respect, and trust of those who might buy. Rand Fishkin
Social Media
I've been managing a range of accounts for museums, community events, membership organisations and more for over a decade.
I'm good at creating and curating content, using consistent branding and finding a tone which suits your brand and audience. All this helps the message about your product, service or organisation reach the right people.
My Social Media Ethos
Give, Give, Give, Ask Social media is designed to be active and sociable. I believe in giving more than you ask on social media. Give useful content, give content to make your followers chuckle, give a link to a relevant article, ask in the form of a post selling or promoting your offer.
Native, Curated and Shared Native content is created for your account. This is where your voice and values come through and where followers get to know you and understand what you are about. Curated content helps keep followers engaged and shows you know your subject, helping build trust in your voice and brand. It demonstrates you’re part of a professional (and/or geographical) community or sector, and your values and interests reflect those of your followers. Sharing content from others enables you to be a reliable voice for followers. We're all busy and it’s easy to miss things on social media and the press; sharing relevant content is a good way to build trust and show your followers you're on the ball.
Kind Words Ruth worked tirelessly for us for many years as a volunteer and social media manager and always delivers a first class service, liaising with other organisations and producing imaginative and excellent material in a most professional and knowledgeable manner. Read more feedback here.
Digital Communication
Blogs
Blogs have come a long way from their start as an onling diary to people making a full-time living from blogging. They've become a useful platform for organisations to share insights and news. Their informal tone has helped them find a place as a trusted source of information. If you're struggling to keep on top of your organisation's blog, and you're not ready to use AI, I can help.
E-Newsletters
Newsletters direct to your audience are a great way to keep people engaged. They rely on a mix of content that focusses more on giving than taking: informing and engaging, rather than selling. If you're looking for someone to help give rather than take, I can help write content and create e-newsletters that feel like a friendly update rather than a cold, hard sell.
Podcasts
The numbers of people listening to podcasts continues to rise, with convenience being a key factor. If you're new to podcasting and want a bit of help, let me know. I have experience of recording, editing and publishing podcasts.
